Overnight Hiking Tour to Lille Historical Tour - Crowsnest Adventures

Friday  4 pm - Saturday 10 am

Sleep with the ghosts of Lille

Lille was a company-built coal mining community that, between 1901 & 1912, hosted a population that grew to over 400.  The community was dismantled when the mine closed in 1912, and most of its structures were moved elsewhere.  Today, the site is an Alberta Provincial Historic Resource.  It takes approximately 3 to 4 hours, with beautiful creek crossings, waterfalls, an old cemetery, and old remnants of life from the early 1900s.

For cost & registration, visit  Crowsnest Adventures

Escape the Barracks

Families and friends can book a time slot to beat the clock and Escape the Barracks! This new and exciting attraction is an escape room in which participants (imprisoned rum runners) will solve riddles and puzzles and find items to Escape the Barracks before the Constable returns.

This event will also happen on Thursday and Saturday.

The Heritage Youth Theatre Company, under the artistic direction of theatre professional Rebecca Dewey, was founded to bring community theatre to the Crowsnest Pass, providing a platform for creating and developing original work and showcasing the abundant talent in this community. Live performances, based on local heritage events and the people who once lived here, engage audiences and offer a glimpse into our past. This is the seventh year The Heritage Youth Theatre Company has performed as part of the Crowsnest Pass Heritage Festival Launch Event with an original work. The Company has performed to packed houses, received standing ovations, and garnered high praise for the artistic excellence of their productions and casts.
