Crowsnest Pass Public Art Gallery

 In 1986, the Crowsnest Pass Allied Arts Association was founded to bring art exhibitions to our community. In 1991, the Art Gallery moved into its current building, the Frank Community Hall, and was awarded Public Gallery status by the Alberta Foundation for the Arts in 1995. The CNP Public Art Gallery is one of only nineteen recognized public art galleries in Alberta. We promote and uplift artists from across the province, and we work hard to maintain the standards required of a professional public gallery, such as providing free admission, which allows everyone in our community the opportunity to engage with and learn about the arts. The gallery hosts rotating exhibitions, showcasing local, provincial, national and international artists. We provide professional opportunities for artists in all stages of their careers, including youth, to exhibit in a gallery setting and grow within their practice and careers. We also offer educational programming for youth and adults, giving community members opportunities to learn new skills, discover new mediums, and grow creatively. We believe that the arts are an essential part of a vibrant community, and through education, we can make the arts more accessible to our community. The Allied Arts Association is committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment. Whether someone is picking up a paintbrush for the first time or presenting a solo exhibition, our gallery is a place where creative growth is supported and celebrated. The Crowsnest Pass Allied Arts Association has been part of this community for 40 years, and we would like to thank all our supporters who have made that possible. The gallery will undergo major changes in the coming years, including a move to a new building! We are excited to continue growing, evolving, and contributing to our community.
